Vuglec breg
Vuglec breg is a renovated village which nowadays embraces four autochthonous houses of the Zagorje region, a restaurant, a cellar, an arbor with grill and bread oven, old wells and sport and recreation grounds.
Krapinske toplice tourist board
Only 46 km from the capital of Croatia Zagreb, at the 160 m altitude there is a picturesque place called Krapinske Toplice. By virtue of a calm Kosteljina river valley surrounded by woody hills which opens only to the South, Krapinske Toplice's climate is mild with an average summer temperature of 19°C, and an average winter temperature of 2°C. Thermal spring water temperature is 40-45°C, and the water itself contains calcium, magnesium and hydrocarbonate. Since 1993 Krapinske Toplice is the district centre. The district which occupies 49 km2 is formed by 17 villages with 5820 inhabitants.
Hushnyakovo museum
The new museum of Krapina Neanderthalers is known as one of the most modern and sophisticated museums worldwide. Marija Bistrica
Marija Bistrica is the most famous Croatian holy site and it annually attracts more than 800 thousand pilgrims from all over the world. The central place of the town is the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.
The Trakoschan castle
The Trakoschan castle is situated in the northwest part of Croatian Zagorje region between Macelj, Ravna Gora and Strahinjcica. It was built in the 13th century as a smaller fortress for the protection of the path from Ptuj to Bednjan valley. From 1584 till the beginning of the World War II it is owned by a Draskovic clan. The castle gained its today's looks in the 19th century.
